Riverdale residents: Scot Johnson
Scot Johnson has lived in the Riverdale mobile home park for 13 years. He previously lived with his mother on the other side of Jersey Shore in a ranch style home. Scot’s father built that home in 1977, with help from Scot and a hired hand. In 1999 Scot and his mother were forced from that home through eminent domain for the public use of an expanded right of way. Scot says that a quarter of the property was eventually claimed in the new roadway and the home was resold after construction was finished. Scot is a mechanic in a nearby town. Scot has no plans to leave his home. Although the city has called him and told him that they are coming to shut off the utilities, he says he is still waiting for any eviction notice. I set this up from the middle of the camp facing the rear of the western blockade. I hope it didn’t get knocked over in the strong winds.
